Vice Rector III of UMY with Prof. Verbong from TUE
In achieving its goal of becoming one of the world’s top universities, the Faculty of Engineering has renewed its cooperation contract with one of the universities specialized in engineering in the Netherlands, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. On Monday (30/05), Vice Rector I of UMY, Vice Rector III of UMY and Head of International Cooperation of UMY, could become Deputy Director of Technische Universiteit Eindhoven which is an Industrial City and Engineering in the Netherlands to get UMY’s cooperation contract with Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TUE ). This visit is directly good by representatives of TUE namely Prof. Dr. Ir. G.P.J. Verbong.
TUE has experienced MoU in cooperation with Faculty of Engineering UMY since 2015. The visit is in the form of follow-up of the MoU, where in this MoU the cooperation is focused in the field of Energy Engineering. Technische Universiteit Eindhoven is one of the special engineering universities in the Netherlands and located in Philips factory-origin city so that this cooperation will help lecturers and students of Faculty of Engineering UMY to develop further research in the field of energy and engineering. The continuation of this cooperation includes sabatical leave activities which will be held in October-November 2016 with passport of three lecturers of Faculty of Engineering to conduct research to Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, will be held Visiting Professor from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven to give General Lecture to students of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Program at UMY, as well as joint research in the field of energy.
